yikes. i suck at blogging.

ok so here we are the first of october...i have not blogging i quite some time.

sorry.

so the most exciting thing that i have not mentioned is that my veryveryvery good friends clair and bif got married last friday. i did the 2nd reading. it was amazing...
and the wedding as fun too:) no really, it was the most beautiful wedding i have ever been to. now clair and bif are in Aruba. enjoying the sun and sand. they deserve it!

also last weekend i went to a housewarming/september fest party at megan and jaquie's house (aka maquie) it was so nice. their house is adorable. it is so nice to have them back in the cincinnati. we are a lucky city to have them.


coming up on the radar...

this sunday is the McDonald-White family reunion in DELHI! woo woo. lots of short, funny people with sugar addictions all in the same room. should make for an interesting time. so at this reunion we are having a "chili dump" . i think it sounds totally gross but my aunt swears that it is going to be good. everyone brings some chili and dumps it into a big pot and it mixes all together and then we eat it. hmm.....not so sure. but there will be cornbread ( I LOVE CORNBREAD) so i should have fun.

that is all for now. i'm not going to promise to write more often b/c we all know i will forget and then i'll just be a lier.

i need to keep a list of things to put on my blog, b/c i keep forgetting...which was the whole point of my blog.

ok, one new thing. i just bought a GRE study book. so that will be happening soon. i am hoping to go back to school at the latest next fall. currently number 1 on my list is Xavier for school counseling.

other than that i will have to check with bsmitty for a reminder of what i am supposed to "put on my blog".

wow. so i forgot to tell my blog EVERYTHING...

ok so as reported last entry Liz and Ron were engaged in May. and i have been asked to be the MOH (maid of honor!) i am super excited. July 9, 2010!!!!! we had an engagement party and we were able to celebrate not only their engagement but Ingrid and Jarrod's engagement as well!!! there is a lot of love in the air so hence the beginning of the Summer of Love.

dress shopping has been exciting...and TODAY liz found the most beautiful dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i would post a picture but i know ron reads my blog religiously.


I also went to the New Jersey Shore to visit LORI, JAC, and SASS and Lori's family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it was amazing. i have never been to the NJ Shore before and it was quite an experience. so many families go there year after year and this is like their second home. Lori and her family have been going to the shore for about a year now and their home there is BEAUTIFUL. they welcomed us into their home with opened arms. Lori's mom made us food, took care of us and was so so so kind.

after some sunburn and sand i had to leave the shore. but i left with my heart full of all the things i loved about JVC. we were able to talk about last year, rehash the hard/crazy stuff and remember our wonderful times together in San Diego.

anyway Liz lovingly reminded me last night that i had not updated my blog in a while...i will try to do better. but no promises because you know me i forget stuff...

marathon weekend

so i have realized that i have not dedicated the month of may to my mother like i should have...sorry mom. May is my mom's month, no one else can have it. her bday is may 30th and she gets the whole month to be awesome and have everyone tell her she is awesome.

So on the 30th we got our toes painted and had a great day with the family. we saw indiana jones and the crystal skull..good but i was kinda surprised by the whole aliens thing.... maybe i should have read a synopsis before going to see it...

and then on saturday beth and i had a marathon day. we had quite a few places to be and wanted to try and make it to all of them...

1. first we met Paul Schafer (aka baby schaf). we hung out with him and his parents and were in awe of mike being a dad. we talked about politics and how babies always get to wear pajamas. and that was just paul and me...beth, mike, rita, and i talked about babies and their lovely cycles of eat, sleep and poop.

2. then we went to our 2nd cousin Megan's first birthday party. there was cake, balloons and winnie-the-pooh!!!! my favorite part was megan screaming while waiting to eat a piece of her cake. she wanted the cake but the highchair thingy was not cooperating. eventually she got to eat her cake and open a bunch of awesome presents including her favorite a lion push toy from her awesome great aunt and 2nd cousin (and beth and dad too) !!

3. then off to visit with a family friend josh at his graduation party! we enjoyed his sister's lovely backyard and caught up with a good friend.

4. then we went to my friend drew's going away party. we enjoyed his deck and the company. i ran into some old friends i hadn't seen in quite a while and chatted in the sunshine of the beautiful late afternoon.

5. then we picked up the newly engaged liz and ron from the airport!! we then had an adventure of discovering that ron's car got towed and then enjoyed some champange to toast the lovebirds!!!

then sunday we got to see Sex and the City...i laughed and cried... it was a good movie!

some people have told me that my blog is boring...well i am sorry that you feel that way..i will try and make it more exciting in the future... NOT!

bsmitty is getting hooded

so beth graduated in december but is getting hooded on may 17th. we are having a housewarming/graduation par-taaaay at her house at 6pm. she is super smart and her house is really cute...so everyone should come ( plus i put together the kitchen!! and my dad installed it all) !

i went to cbus to visit ruwe and met her dog (i wanted to steal him) and saw her adorable apt.! liz and i plan to go back sometime and make ice cream and watch cooking shows. it was AMAZING.

so now that beth has new house we are having a painting party. it is on April 12th from 2-6pm. her house is super cute and is coming along really well. she has a lot of work to do but i think it will look great soon!!! if you are around next saturday, come paint with us!

i am going to see some of my CCR girls in July and then my family and i are visiting Shanny in September!!!
